Weston man denies rape and sexual assault charges

A Weston man will go on trial in July after he denied two sex offences.

Ricky Scott, 39, of Pentelow Way, Weston pleaded not guilty to a single charge of rape when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.

Mr Scott also denied a second charge of assault by penetration. Both offences are alleged to have occurred on September 29 last year.

Judge Catarina Sjolin Knight adjourned the case for a trial at Lincoln Crown Court beginning on July 6 next year.

The trial is expected to last four days.

Mr Scott was granted bail on condition he does not enter a specified area of Weston and resides at two addresses in North End, Swineshead, and Dozens Bank, West Pinchbeck.

He is also allowed to take a family holiday in Mexico in January.

Judge Sjolin Knight told Mr Scott: “You have pleaded not guilty to the two offences so the matter will need to go off for trial.”

The case was listed for a pre-trial hearing at Lincoln Crown Court on March 20.
