Great day at Moulton Chapel parade

Rain clouds dispersed in time for the sun to shine on a “fantastic” Moulton Chapel parade.
Crowds of villagers and visitors turned out to see the parade wend through the village, led by its very own royal family, parade queen Porsche Groom, princess Isla Cameron and prince Zachary Simpson.
There was also some visiting “royals” in the shape of Spalding flower queen Amy Cook, her deputy Kimberley Fisher and Tulipmania’s prince and princess and their deputies.
For the first time this year, the event included a scarecrow festival, which attracted 14 entries, earning it a permanent place in the annual parade programme.
Tuliptime Committee chairman Jenny Stanberry said: “It went really well and I think the bad weather in the morning actually went in our favour as people chose not to go further afield for the day.
“It was really well attended and the feedback we have received has been very positive.”
As well as floats, the parade also featured marching bands and vintage cars, tractors and steam engine.
