Maurice is a super hero

A neighbour who is always willing to lend a hand is this week’s nominee for a Pride of South Holland Award.

Maurice Cudd has been entered in the Caring Neighbour category, sponsored by We’ll Let Your House, by George Drakard, of Crown Drive, Spalding.
George made the nomination for Mr Cudd’s willingness to “do the odd favour” such as keeping an eye on his home or feeding his pets while he’s on holiday.
He said: “He is always reliable, patient and brave while he accompanies you out to the shops in your car when you are still a learner driver and no one else will.
“Maurice is the kind of neighbour who gets to know you and sees how you are getting on, kind of like a grandfather figure.
“And it’s nice of Maurice to acknowledge your achievements and congratulate you on a job well done – not many neighbours would do that and take an interest.
“In my opinion Maurice Cudd is the super hero of Crown Drive, not just to me but to all the neighbours and i don’t know what I would do without him.”
Do you know a “super hero” like Maurice who deserves a Pride of South Holland Award.
There is still time to get your nominations in using the form below.
Don’t forget to include a letter explaining why they deserve to win.
Winners will be announced at a special ceremony to be held at the South Holland Centre, Spalding, on July 11.
