Drayman’s B beat their C team 6-3 to stay top of the Spalding League.
They started strongly, winning all three pairs before Stu Ewins and Chris Howling won to put the B team 5-0 up. The C team fought back and made it 5-3 but Connor Hughes went on last to end the game 6-3. Dan Merrill had a 104 checkout in his victory.
Green Dragon A shook the league up by beating second-placed Consti D 7-2. Dragon went 2-1 up after the pairs and wins for Darren Templeman, Ben Laud, Callum Templeman and Kieran Grove put them 6-1 ahead. Ady Smith won back a game for the Consti before player of the night Chris Wing won for the Dragon with a maximum 180 and 111 checkout.
Ship Long Sutton had an 8-1 win against Rose & Crown B. The sole winner for Crown was Pete Griggs.
Riverside had a 5-4 win against Holbeach Services A. Riverside took the advantage after the pairs and Andy Picinelli won to make it 3-1. Holbeach staged a comeback with wins from Chris Chamberlain, Mike Ocock and
Chris Blakey before Carl Kirk and Kieran Twitchen won for the Riverside to wrap up the points. Andy Taylor had a 100 checkout for Riverside.
Consti A beat Rose & Crown A 7-2. Chris Fidler had a 180, a 126 checkout and a 16-dart leg, Sam Roberts had a 180 and 16 and 18 dart legs, Gary Mace had a 180 and a 17-dart leg and Andy Bingham slotted in a 180 of his own. Consti went 3-0 up in pairs before Mark Waters won back a point for Rose. Sam Roberts boosted Consti’s lead with a 2-1 win over Hank Watson but young Leo Clarkson won for Rose and the score was poised at 4-2. Wins from Chris Fidler, Andy Bingham, and Nick Moyses settled things.
Elsewhere Rose & Crown C beat Consti E 6-3. After winning 2-1 in the pairs, Colin Hatter put Rose 3-1 up. Josh Ford had a fine win over county player Logan Goddard to make it 3-2. Three of the next four games went to Rose, thanks to Mark Horspool, Ant Richardson and Monty Bunn. Richardson had an 18-dart leg in his victory over Mark Dixon.
Pinchbeck FC extend their dominance in Division Three with a 7-2 win over Pied Calf. The highlight was Harvey Elderkin’s 180 in his win over Kim Racey.
Holbeach Services B beat second-placed Drayman’s D 6-3. Ryan Munton’s 180 was his second in two weeks.
Lincoln Arms beat Green Dragon B 6-3 thanks to winning all three pairs and singles wins from Andy Palmer, Duane Harrison and Vlad Fomkinas.
Closest game of the night was the 5-4 win for Mulberrys against Harrox. Mulberrys went 2-1 up before Ian Stephenson levelled the game. Wins for Chris Page, Shane Thorpe and Nathan Sage, who hit a 180 in his victory, secured the points for Mulberrys.
