High-flying Kings Park Rangers found their attack blunted by a battling Holbeach United side on Saturday at Carters Park.
The Tigers held the Essex side to a goalless draw, with the first-time Eastern Counties League visitors’ frustration boiling over as they lost two players to red cards in the closing stages with substitute Daniel Cunningham and Evan Collard dismissed in the last 15 minutes.
Callum Wright returned to the squad after starting the season at Premier Division side Heacham and manager Callum Lawe also revealed Oli Williams and Luke Nicholson had committed to the team for the rest of the season.
He said he was now pleased with his squad strength and the competition for places, adding: “Nobody has a guaranteed place if someone drops, there is another lad who is hungry and ready to step in.”
The Tigers face another tough test on Saturday when they travel to Division One North fourth-placed Wroxham Reserves.
Tigers: Sellars, Kacirek, Roberts, Goult, West, Nicholson, Greenfield, Carter, Hamilton, A Williams, J Williams. Subs: Oldham, Hyde, Coelho, Shenille, Wright.
