Pyramid C are sitting at the top of Division One in the Spalding and District Snooker League thanks to a 5-1 win over Services A on Thursday night.
Pyramid’s Jason Green (o56) knocked in a 51 break on his way to victory over Phil Spencer (o14), while other wins came from Richard Skellett (o21), Dave Pearson (o14) and George Neary-Philips (o21).
Vince Fitter (o42) was the solitary winner for Services, who now sit in eighth place.
Clubmates Pyramid F are in second. They suffered a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Consti H.
Seb Grimston (o28), Mark German (o28) (twice) and Doug Garfoot (o28) were Consti’s winners, while Ian Clare (scr) took the final frame as a consolation for Pyramid.
Holbeach D are in third place after a 4-2 win over Donington C.
A 46 break couldn’t help Donington’s Neil Reynolds (o63) to a win, with Andy Spearman (scr) getting the better of him 99-87.
Denis Hix (r7) and Don Monk (o21) were Holbeach’s other winners, while Ben Wrigglesworth (o28) and Neil Favell (o21) won for Donington.
Consti G are in fourth after they whitewashed Services D 6-0.
Neil Grant (r7), Darren Woodberry (o42), Ady Sibley (o35) (twice), who got a 47 break, and Martin Deacon (o14) made up the winning team.
Consti E have got off the mark with their first win of the season, beating Holbeach C 4-2.
Gav Halgarth (o14) started the team off well getting the better of Dan Ashton (o7) 64-63.
Simon Law (scr) followed that up with a win to put Consti 2-0 up, before Nick Edwards (r14) claimed the third frame for Holbeach.
Law got a second win, beating Mark Gregory (o28), and sealing the victory, leaving Paul Ashton (r14) to take the final frame for Holbeach.
Services C had a 4-2 win over Boundary A thanks to Geoff Hemsil (r21) who played and won twice and Nigel Cherry (o7), who took the deciding frame.
Holbeach B are leading Division Two, having won seven out of seven matches.
On Thursday night they beat friendly foe Holbeach E 4-2 to leave them three points clear at the top.
Garry Cooke (o14), Barry Haynes (o7) and Neil Harvey (o21) were the winners.
The match could have easily been 6-0 as the two games won by the E team both went down to the black.
Pyramid A are in second place but lost 4-2 to Whittlesey C who won their first match of the season.
John Willis (r7), Gary Thewliss (scr) and Jason Bloomfield (o28) were Whittlesey’s winners.
Consti F are fourth after beating Gosberton D 4-2.
Darren Stanley (r28) started Consti off on the right foot before Lynn Simmons (r21) equalled the scoreline.
Husband Neil Simmons (o14) put Gosberton ahead, beating Bryan Turnell (r14) but Robert Adams (o7) and Justyn Stanley (scr) took the final two frames to give Consti the win.
Holbeach F claimed their third win of the season, beating Pyramid B 4-2.
Winners on the night were Dan Mayfield (o28), who had a 31 break, David Lefley (r28) and Alex Bourne (o21), winning the deciding frame on the black ball.
Whittlesey A got the better of Donington A, beating them 4-2, thanks to wins from Andy Blythe (o14), Steve Jennings (o35) and Graeme Sawyer (o21).
Services B are in fifth place after a 4-2 away victory over Pyramid E.
Jason Rose (o28), Paul Doades (scr) and Alan Hansard (scr) got the points for Services.
It’s close at the top of Division Three with just three points separating the top five teams.
Consti D are a point clear at the top despite losing 4-2 to clubmates Consti I.
Phil Tweddell (r7) took the first frame for the I team, before Ray Digby (r28) hit back, levelling the scoreline.
John Bellerby (r14) put the I team ahead again and David Twelves (scr) got the better of John Cooper (r28) to seal the win.
Tom Digby (r14) won the final frame to give the D team an extra point.
Consti B are in second place after a 4-2 victory over Donington B.
John Keeton (o7), Mick Johnson (o21) and John Pike (r14) got the wins in that one.
Paul Spittlehouse (o56) knocked in breaks of 34, 27 and 21 on his way to a win over Paul Whyte (r14) helping his Boundary B team to a 501 win over Donington B.
Other winners were Mick Goddard (o7), Dougie Lythgoe (o14) and Ash Heywood (014).
Holbeach G registered a good 5-1 win over Gosberton B.
There were breaks of 29 and 21 from John Dawson (o28), a 25 from Dave Willy (o21) and a 23 and 22 by Ben Harding (o42).
Dawson and Harding won their frames, alongside Matt Tomblin (o7) and Ian Woodberry (r7).
Willy was the only loser, Warren Driver (r21) getting the better of him.
Gosberton C beat Consti J 4-2 putting them in fifth place.
