Holbeach United continue to bounce up and down the Eastern Counties League Division One standings.
After plunging to the foot of the table, the Tigers are on the up and are back in the top half after two goals from substitute Marley Hamilton earned them a quickfire double over Wivenhoe Town at Carter’s Park on Saturday.
Callum Lawe’s team had won 3-1 at the Essex club seven days earlier and completed a six-point haul in the return.
Harry Conway put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot in the first half after a foul but the scoreline was turned round when Hamilton came off the bench to strike twice after the break.
A landmark moment saw Sam Carter come on as substitute to mark his 150th appearance for the team. He received a presentation from chairman Peter Warrington and assistant manager Callum Madigan to mark the achievement.
The Tigers were again in action on Wednesday, welcoming Boston United u23s to Carters Park for the annual Peter Cousins Memorial Cup meeting.
