A Sutton Bridge man has been remanded into custody after he admitted controlling and coercive behaviour towards his former partner over a nine year period.
Samuel Muller, 35, of Bridge Road, pleaded guilty to the single offence which occurred between April 1, 2016 and September 17, 2025 when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.
The particulars of the offence state that over that period Muller assaulted the victim, threatened to kill her, accused her of having affairs if she went out and made repeated unwanted calls after they separated.
Michael Cranmer-Brown, defending, asked for sentence on Muller to be adjourned for a mental health assessment.
Mr Cranmer-Brown told the court Muller accepted there was one incident where he applied unwanted force to the victim.
“He is anxious to be sentenced,” Mr Cranmer-Brown assured the court.
Judge Philip Head remanded Muller back into custody. He will be sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court on November 7.
