Competitors dig in for victory

A charity ploughing match raised more than £750 for Prostate Cancer UK.

The Holbeach St Marks Ploughing Match is organised by Christine Pearsall and her family in aid of the charity.

She said: “We’re very pleased with the amount raised. The turnout was good, especially for the time of year and the fact that there were several other events on at the same time.

“We had 50 tractors taking part over the two days and we chose to support Prostate Cancer UK as most of those taking part are men.

“Thank you goes to PJ Duffy and Son for use of the field, and to all who helped.”
