Circle round off time with Sergi’s

An open mic night which has brought people together in Spalding has thanked its home for the last few years.

The White Horse Circle has met regularly at Sergi’s Tapas Bar in Francis Street for around two years for music, singing and poetry.

With the restaurant’s ownership now changing they had one last ‘goodbye’ recently ahead of regrouping in the autumn amid a host of exciting new plans.

A spokesman for the group said: “The White Horse Circle has been a staple for local creatives in Spalding, attracting a variety of acts over the years.

“From the more typical clientele of singers and poets, to the occasional children’s book writer and sword swallower.

“Sergi’s has been the meeting point for the monthly open mic held by White Horse Writers but during the transitional period between Sergi’s and new owners of The Olive Tree, the White Horse Circle are taking a well-needed rest until ready to resume in September.”
