Time is right for Timewell to leave parade role

The Spalding Flower Parade committee has announced that Stephen Timewell has stepped down as director of the CIC (Community Interest Company) which was formed when the parade was re-started.
Personal and professional changes have prompted the news, said a spokesman.
“His dedication, energy and leadership brought the event back to life, re-igniting a much-loved tradition.”
Mick Deveney, who has worked closely with Stephen, as event controller, has taken over the role of director.
“The committee would like to thank Stephen for his invaluable work and wish him all the best for the future,” said a statement.
