Wing your way to play

A critically acclaimed one-man play about an unlikely friendship is landing at Long Sutton Market House tomorrow (Friday).

Learning To Fly is the creation of James Rowland.

A spokesman for Long Sutton Town Arts, a voluntary group who promote live and local professional arts events on behalf of the Arts Council, said: “Learning To Fly is the story of a remarkable friendship James made when he was a lonely, unhappy teenager – with the scary old lady who lived in the spooky house on his street.

“It’s about connection, no matter the obstacles; about love’s eternal struggle with time; about music and its ability to heal.

“It’s also about her last wish: to get high once before she dies.

“Uplifting, big-hearted, and hilarious, this promises a glorious and irreverent evening with one of the UK’s most acclaimed storytellers.”

The shows is at 7.30pm and tickets are £12.50 or £10 for students or groups of more than four, available from the venue or by ringing 01406 366767.
