It was a perfect return to league action for Pinchbeck United as they comfortably beat Whitton United on Saturday.
After previous postponements, the Knights finally played in the Thurlow Nunn Division One North again.
Their previous league fixture was on December 28.
Harry Cranfield gave Pinchbeck a fine start by powering a header home in the eighth minute.
The Knights then doubled their advantage in the 23rd as Luke Cullen fired home.
And the defence held firm throughout to ensure a clean sheet.
Pinchbeck are nine points off the play-offs and will be looking for another win this weekend as they host second-from-bottom Needham Market Reserves on Saturday.
They then visit FC Peterborough.
Knights: Martin, Stevens, Balding, Panton, Cranfield, Brooks, Howlett, Doran, Melson, Cullen, Ward. Subs: Tate, Taylor, Barker.
