Masons earn their spurs

Members of a Long Sutton Freemasons’ Lodge are helping the Riding for the Disabled Association.
The Worshipful Master of Alexandra Lodge, Richard Diggle, presented a cheque for £550 to the Fenland Group of the RDA.
The organisation, founded in 1981, gives free riding lessons to children at The Tulip Academy in Spalding during three terms a year.
It relies on volunteers and local donations to keep running and currently around 30 people give up their time to help.
“Over the past 40 years the group has taught well in excess of 1,000 children to ride,” said Chair Paul Brett.
