All aboard for railway show

It’s full steam ahead for one of the biggest dates in the model railway calendar in the area.

Spalding Model Railway Club’s annual exhibition is back for two days this weekend at Springfields Events Centre.
People will be steaming in from all areas of the country for the event, which this year will see around 30 model displays based on a host of different eras.
Among the groups demonstrating are the Fenland and Spalding Model Club, the Waveney O Gauge Group, the Great Northern Railway Society and the Nene Valley Railway.
There’s also set to be a number of traders available and a host of stalls.
Exhibition co-ordinator Shaun Barnes said: “We’re all looking forward to what is set to be another excellent show.”
The show is open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday.
Advanced ticket holders and disabled people or wheelchair users can enter from 9.30am.
Advanced tickets cost £11 or are free for under 16s and available from http://spalding

Tickets on the day cost £12.
Free parking is available but is on grass which can be slippery if wet.
