Lightning start as Spalding whitewash Sleaford

Spalding Lightning started the defence of their mixed Top Club title with a comfortable win at Sleaford.

The three-time champions won on all rinks, which saw the overall result go 16-0 in their favour.
Next up is another away match at Stamford on Sunday, November 10.
Rink scores – Ladies singles: Chelsea Spencer won 21-14; Men’s singles: Stephen Harris won 21-2; Pairs: Annie Dunham and Dominic McVittie won 33-3; Triples: Ruby Hill, Martin Spencer and Mathew Orrey won 20-9; Fours: Jean Patterson, Louise Harris, Graham Smith and Jordan Philpott won 21-10.

l Spalding Indoor Bowls Club hosted Boston B in the Men’s County League.
The home team were dominant as they raced into an early lead and won by 57 shots (107-50).
They also won 12-2 on match points. Although winning on three rinks, the top winning rink was skipped by Dan Mills, with Kevin Ekins, George Almey and James Teesdale who had an impressive
32-8 success.
