Swimming 10k for charity

A keen swimmer is diving into the deep end for charity and swimming 10k to help the Alzheimer’s Society.

Harriet Tuckett (pictured), of Saracen’s Head, completed a massive 44-mile swim last summer to raise money for Diabetes UK, and this year she will be helping a different charity.
She will be taking to the pool on Saturday, November 9, at London’s Aquatic Centre’s Olympic Pool.
Currently training hard at Spalding’s Castle pool, Harriet has already raised around £600 for her chosen charity and hopes to hit four figures.
“I grew up in Spain so was introduced to swimming from a very young age, as well as competing competitively in my teens,” she said.
Donations can be made via her Go Fund Me website page. Search for Harriet Tuckett and Alzheimer’s within the website or click here.
Harriet is company director at Spanacademy which she set up in 2010.
It offers Spanish tuition to adults and children and Harriet qualified as a chartered linguist in the same year.
