Spalding gear up for season

Spalding Rugby Club are gearing up for the start of the new season with training sessions taking place twice a week at Centenary Park.

The opening league and merit table fixtures are planned for Saturday, September 7 with the 1st XV away to Vipers.
For the first time in the club’s history the 2nds have joined an NLD league, with the first game at home against Southwell 2nds on September 7 and the 3rds playing Kesteven 2nds in a Lincs Merit table fixture on the same day.
John Constable, chairman of Spalding Rugby Club, said: “Training has been very well attended and all the players are looking forward to the new season.
“Mini rugby (U6-12) starts on Sunday, September 1 and juniors (U13 to Colts) a week later on September 8.”
