Nightclub’s two decades in town

Ronnie Vint from Love Island is set to help a Spalding nightclub celebrate its 20th anniversary this month with celebrations starting with an over 25s afternoon/evening this Saturday (August 10).

XO, previously known as Loaded, was opened by entrepreneur Matt Clark, two decades ago.
And he’s planned a month of celebrations including the reality TV star’s visit on August 17, an Ibiza-themed party on August 30 and an over-25s reunion this Saturday (August 10).
It will see some of the original DJs including Shaun Neal, Andy Gibbs and Nick T take to the decks from 3pm to 8pm.
“We want to celebrate this month for current customers as well as reconnecting with those who helped make the original club, Loaded, such a success,” said Matt. “Understanding that many of those, like me, have different commitments now, this Saturday we’ve planned a day party from 3pm to 8pm to give everyone a chance to relive the memories and have invited along many of our original team too.”
Matt said of the past two decades.
“I’m incredibly grateful to the team, the DJs, the contractors, and of course, our customers for their unwavering support over the past two decades. Where has the time gone?
“The proudest moments are standing at the exit, seeing the smiles on our customers’ faces and shaking their hands as they leave, clearly having enjoyed their time with us.
“We’ve brought celebrities to the town including Joey Essex, Geordie Shore’s Gaz Beadle and Lucy Pinder, DJs including Dave Pearce and Charlie Sloth, hosted more patrons than local city centre venues, and witnessing unique moments.
“They include brides joining us in their wedding gowns, and couples getting engaged at the club.”
