Ladybirds to celebrate 50th anniversary

A group is set to celebrate its organisation’s 50th anniversary.

The Surfleet Ladybirds is marking the event with its annual Garden Party in the Fraiser Room at 6.30pm on Tuesday (July 9).
The group is looking for former members to join them and wear gold and yellow, as well as donating a plate of food.
The Ladybirds is a non-religous, non-political group for women of any age, that meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm at the site next to St Laurence Church.
The most recent meeting included a talk on the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew by Gill Walsh.
On Tuesday, August 13 there is also a group outing to Fydell House in Boston at 2pm. The cost is £5.50.
Membership of the group is £3.50 a year and £1 per meeting.
Guests can attend meetings for £1.50.
