Father and son’s bikes both stolen

A young motorcycle fan just starting out in the sport of Motocross has had his bike stolen after just two races.

It was one of two bikes taken from a Holbeach home in the early hours of Monday.

Nine-year-old Oliver Malcolm had started racing this year and already found success in attracting sponsors from South Holland.

But his KTM65 was taken along with dad Anthony’s Suzuki RMZ250 bike which he races.

Both bikes have the race number 47 and the KTM has sponsor names of Darci’s Sandwich Bar, which is run by Anthony and his wife Stacey, in Holbeach.

“We discovered it at 6.30am on Monday morning and are absolutely gutted,” said Anthony. There is CCTV footage of a van at their home at 1am and details have been handed over to Lincolnshire police.

“We only just got Oli into it and he has taken part in two races this year,” Anthony added. Any information about the theft can be given to Lincolnshire police on 101.

The family has started a GoFundme appeal under Anthony’s name to help replace his son’s bike.

“I’m not begging, just thought I would try and put a smile on his face,” said Anthony.
