Ten different scorers as Jubilee go goal crazy in Sunday League

Jubilant Jubilee boasted ten different scorers as they battered Mulberry 10-0 in Spalding and District Sunday League at the weekend.

Jack Wycherley, Jamie Cartlidge, Danny Nichols, Dan Brackenbury, Steve Coles, Chris Taylor, Leigh Boekestyn, Kev Nottingham and Simon Hall all notched – as did keeper Ash Elderkin from the penalty spot.

Josh Ford hit four as title favourites Pinchbeck United Sunday won 8-3 at Swinsehead Sunday.

Ricky Drury, Kieran Rose, Mark Thompson and Matt Warfield got the others.

Sutton Bridge Sunday remain second after a 4-2 success at Spalding Seas End Wanderers, Ben Partridge bagging twice.

Dan Smith and Joe Sutton also notched for Bridge, with Stuart Boswell and David Clarey replying.

Elsewhere, a double from Chris Ward helped Murrow Bell win 3-2 at Punchbowl Tigers. Glenn Arbon got Bell’s other goal, rendering strikes from Tom Elderkin and Ricky Stevens as consolation for the Tigers.

The other game of the week saw Punchbowl Panthers come from behind to beat Brennans Sports 2-1.

Mark Sampson put Brennans ahead, but Markus Parry and James Thorold won it for the Panthers.

John Chappell Shield: Final (11am): Brennans Sports v Pinchbeck United Sunday (Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field).

  • Sutton St James Sunday are celebrating after winning the Division Two title in King’s Lynn and District Sunday League.

They beat Tilney Green Lions 2-0 thanks to goals from Adam Groves and Ash Godfrey to make it a memorable first season in the league. They are still on for a treble this season.
