Musical treat for residents at Holbeach St Johns care home

Residents at Beech Lodge Nursing Home were treated to an afternoon of music by Sam Wray and her recorder group.

Sam is head of music at University Academy Holbeach and has previously taken her students along to play a variety of instruments and genres. It was her idea to return with the recorder group.
She said: “It is lovely to come along and perform at Beech Lodge and this is something different for us and the home.”

Steve Shore, who is activities organiser at the Holbeach St Johns home, said: “The concert will be remembered for some time and it is very rewarding for the staff and families to see first hand the joy and pleasure these kind of activities provide.”
