LETTERS – Why not Lincolnshire flag?

So, the officers and councillors of SHDC have proudly hoisted the Union Jack flag at the Priory Road offices in celebration of 50 years in existence.
Now, I am staunchly proud to be British but may I ask, why not fly the Lincolnshire county flag as I’m sure our councillors would claim to be proud Lincolnshire yellowbellies?
Travelling through our county it is disappointing to see so few of our county flags flying with pride.
You might see one here and there but they’re far outnumbered by the George cross with ‘England’ across the middle.
I consider our county flag to be quite distinctive and one of the most colourful, so not one to be ashamed of.
It would be great to see the flag on all public buildings. Springfields, once claimed to be the gateway to Lincolnshire, never has flown our county flag, now that is disappointing.
