FJ’s Lucky Cat rally team enjoy successful second ever outing

Easter Sunday saw the Spalding rally team of FJ’s Lucky Cat RT take on the final round of the Circuit Rally Championship at Cadwell Park.

Josh Wallis and his wife and co-driver Kimberley tackled all nine stages of the round in what was only their second ever rally with huge support from a team comprising family and friends.
It was a steady start to the rally for the pair, struggling with some of the tight hairpins and a cracked exhaust, which the service crew did a sterling job to repair and set them up for a push on the afternoon stages.
Never out of the top 20 fastest times overall, the afternoon was capped with a fantastic 13th fastest time on the final stage.
This saw the crew come home with a very credible tenth in class and 28th overall, beating many teams running on a much larger budget in faster machinery.
With lots learnt, the team look to build on this with a full assault on the championship next season.
In the mean time they aim to take part in some closed road events later this year.
If you’d like to be involved with the team they are always seeking new sponsors to come on board to help us build on this strong start.
