Health group pile on pounds

A local weight loss support business, have raised over £1,600 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Members of Helen Webster’s Change Your Weigh With Helen, which has meetings in Pinchbeck and Spalding, have raised the funds by holding a weekly raffle and various fun events last year, including a fabulous awards night.
Helen said: “Many members of the group have been touched by a diagnosis of dementia in a close friend or family member (Alzheimer’s disease is a type of dementia) and wanted to help their local communities.”
Natalie Skipper, community fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Society, said: “We cannot thank Change Your Weigh with Helen enough and its members for raising over £1,600 for Alzheimer’s Society and for making such a huge difference to the lives of people affected by dementia.
“This support could not have come at a more vital time, as one in three people born today will develop dementia in their lifetime and dementia is currently the UK’s biggest killer.”
