Parking lines return to school

Yellow lines have been repainted outside a Spalding school after concerns over safety were raised.

The lines were removed from outside Spalding Parish Day School on Clay Lake recently.
But they’ve now been reinstalled after councillors Mark Le Sage and David Ashby, alongside county and district councillor Gary Taylor, had requested the measures.
Coun Le Sage said: “They were removed last year and the parking situation on the school run became very dangerous at times.
“I am very pleased to say that the lines have now been replaced and local enforcement officers will be visiting the school to ensure drivers adhere to the rules.
“The safety of our residents and their children are our top priority throughout South Holland and the Deepings and our primary concern so anything we can do to make the district safer we will do our utmost to achieve.
“We are grateful for the support of Coun Taylor throughout our campaign.”
