Gap closes as leaders fall 6-0 while chasers win 6-0

Holbeach F fell to a 6-0 defeat on Thursday night, allowing second-placed Consti I to make up some ground in the Spalding and District Snooker League, as they won their fixture 6-0.

Division Three leaders Holbeach F, who had previously only lost two matches all season, were whitewashed by Pyramid E, who sit in fourth place.
Winners for the Bourne team were Steve Thompson (R14), Neil McLean (R7), Jeremy Radford (R7), John Clapton (R7) and Steve Doughty (R21).
Consti I closed the gap to eight points with their win over clubmates Consti D.
Their winners were Jonathan Smith (R21), John Bellerby (scr), Stewart Wells (R21), David Twelves (O7) and Pete Stokes (scr).
Consti A remain in third place. They beat Consti A 4-2. Winners for the A team were Wayne Wilding (O14), Martin Johnson (R14) and Nigel Steadman (R7), while John Walker (R21) and Dave Banister (scr) got the points for Consti C.
Consti J jumped up a place to fifth thanks to a 6-0 win over Donington D.
Trevor Braybrook (R14), Les Andrew (scr), Jack Howard (R7), Adam Braybrook (scr) and Stewart Davies (O7) were the winners on the night.
Davies knocked in a 41 break on his way to beating Dennis Mitcham (R14) giving him the joint highest break for Division Three so far this season.
Gosberton C dropped a place after losing 4-2 at Whittlesey B.
Andy Skutela (R14) and Michael Foster (O14) took the first two frames for Whittlesey, before Gosberton replied with wins from Mark Payne (O14) and Stuart Tamplin (R7) to square the score.
Pawel Skutela (R7) beat Rob Lockett (R28) in the deciding frame.
Gosberton B beat Whittlesey A 4-2 thanks to frame victories from Merv Pattinson (R21), Richard Crampton (R28) and Simon Slinger (R7).
Jason Clarke (O7) and Steve Jennings (O28) were the winners for Whittlesey A.
A 4-2 win has kept Services A at the top of Division One, while the previous week’s joint leaders Consti G went down 4-2 to Bourne SC A.
Services beat Consti H thanks to wins from Vince Fitter (O35), Chris Dunmore (O35) and Kev Emerson (R7).
Consti’s winners were Jon Holdershaw (R14) and Olly Turner (O14), who knocked in breaks of 35 and 22 on the way to beating Jake Haslam (O21).
Consti E jumped from fourth to second after beating Bourne SC B 4-2.
Simon Law (O7) and Jack Chilvers (O14) got Consti off to a good start, before Joey Scampion (R7) and Gary Surridge (O7) took the next two frames to even the score.
It was left to Elliot Gaunt (O28) and Martin Ulyatt (O14) to battle it out in the final frame, with Ulyatt coming out on top.
A 6-0 win for Donington C saw them move from seventh place to fourth. They beat Holbeach D thanks to wins from Mat Turner (O14), Neil Favell (O7), Neil Reynolds (O63), Ben Wrigglesworth (O35) and Mick Pearl (O21).
Second-from-bottom Boundary A had a shock 6-0 win over sixth-placed Services C.
Pete King (R7), Daniel Smith (O7), Andy Mowforth (O7), Tim Burrows (R21) and Elliott Cox (R7) made up the winning team.
Sutton Bridge remain bottom after losing 4-2 away to Holbeach E.
Phil Coaten (O14), Pete Ransome (O28) and Ben Harding (O35) were the victors for Holbeach, while Thomas Horspool (O35) and Shane Balding (O49) got the points for Bridge.
Pyramid C won 4-2 against Holbeach C thanks to Richard Skellett (O14), Dave Pearson (O14) and Spencer Dawkins (O56) who took the first three frames respectively.
Nick Edwards (R7) and Paul Ashton (R7) won the last two frames to take a couple of points for Holbeach.
In Division Two, a top of the table clash saw Pyramid D get the better of clubmates Pyramid A.
The D team won 4-2 moving them into first place, and dropping Pyramid A into second, although only a single point separates them.
Josh Agger (O14), James Sharpe (O49) and Marcus Hamilton (O28) were the winners for the D team. Hamilton with a 37 break on his way to beating Dean Cole (O14).
Consti B moved up a place to third with a 4-2 win over Gosberton D.
Victors on the night were John Keeton (O7), John Christian (R7) and Martin Fear (O7) for Consti and Dan Hanger (R7) and Paulo Gensiorsky (O7) for Gosberton.
Holbeach B fell a place to fourth, despite a 4-2 win over friendly foe Holbeach A.
Adi Liquorish (R14) got the B team off to a good start with a win over Wayne Dent (O49) but the A team hit back thanks to Sean Swinburn (O56).
It was all square again as Neil Harvey (O14) beat Derek Beba (scr) and Steve Dent (scr) got the better of Pete Mullane (O28).
The deciding frame was between Barry Haynes (O7) and Stuart Atkin (O42), with Haynes emerging the winner 67-47.
In a mid-table clash Services D beat Whittlesey C 4-2.
Winners for Services were Joel Shears (R7), Kevin Robbs (R7) and Ian Smith (scr), while Paul Cook (O14) and Simon Parker (O7) got the frames for Whittlesey.
Second-from-bottom Donington B got their fifth win of the season, beating Services B at home.
Pete Burrell (scr), Shaun Pickering (R21) and Darren Templeman (scr) won the first three frames, before Alan Hansard (scr) pinched one back for Services.
Mick Clark (R14) took the final frame against Paul Doades (07) to round off the score.
Consti F beat Gosberton A 4-2, thanks to wins from Bryan Turnell (R14), Warren Peel (scr) and Martyn Stanley (R14).
