Plans for Crowland museum

An application has been submitted to turn farm buildings into a museum and permanent home for a rescued armoured vehicle.

Kennulph’s Farm on Wright’s Drive, Crowland, has applied for the change of use permission which would house the Buffalo 47 pulled from the ground in 2021.
Documents submitted with the application states that the museum initially intends to be by appointment only, with schools possibly visiting once a week.
It continues though: “This application does not seek to limit operating hours, as the facilities have the potential to be visited by more people, more often, as the museum becomes known.”
It would utilise existing buildings and hard standing for parking.
“This assessment concludes that the proposed development is in accordance with planning policy, will contribute positively to the local area by providing facilities promoting the local history interest to the community and is therefore suitable for the proposed location,” the documents state.
