Thanks for your amazing gifts

South Lincolnshire Academies Trust has once again thrown its support behind our Give A Gift appeal.

Staff at Spalding Academy and the Giles Academy in Old Leake have been collecting gifts for the campaign to give to children who would otherwise not have a present to open on Christmas Day.
Mark Le Sage, founder of Ella’s Project and partner in Give A Gift, collected the presents from the Spalding site on Monday.
The appeal has now closed and gifts have been picked up from collection points across the district and will be delivered in time for Christmas.
The appeal makes a huge difference to struggling families across South Holland and Boston, ensuring less fortunate children aged between three and 14-years-old who wouldn’t get a present, have something to open on Christmas Day.
Rachel Mayfield, editor of the Spalding and South Holland Voice added: “Thank you so much to everyone who donated this year.
“We understand things have been hard for many people with the current cost of living crisis and we’ve been blown away with the support we’ve received.
“Yet again the people of South Holland have shown how generous and kind hearted they are.
“As a mum myself, it breaks my heart to think that some children are facing a Christmas without gifts.
“The difference this appeal makes to so many children across the district is immeasurable and it’s lovely to think how happy they will be to receive something on Christmas Day.”
The presents have gone to South Holland and Boston Child Services to distribute in time for Christmas.
This year we have also been able to help a number of individual families referred to us by trusted organisations.

Mark Le Sage and Rachel Mayfield collect gifts from Helen Jackson, store manager, Linda Chapman, customer service assistant, and Holly Rungay, lead manager at Sainsburys.
