LETTERS – Railway report is flawed

The Network Rail report suggesting there cannot be a train service to London because of the Spalding Level Crossing is deeply flawed.
A London service would likely be provided by an “open access” operator using four or five carriage trains cascaded from East Midlands Railway or West Coast. There would likely be only five trains per day in each direction.
Just recently we were talking about a half hourly service from Sleaford to Peterborough with one train per hour calling at Donington and Deeping St Nicholas, so what has changed?
Lincolnshire has been starved of investment by successive Governments for decades. Only when we secure proper investment into infrastructure such as road and rail will Lincolnshire be able to reach full potential.
