Rotary boost for our gift appeal

This year’s Give A Gift appeal has been given a boost thanks to the Rotary Club of South Holland.

The Rotary Club made a £150 donation to the appeal, allowing us to buy a trolley full of toys.
We’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of our readers yet again this year, and can’t thank you enough for your support.
The Spalding and South Holland Voice has teamed up with Coun Mark Le Sage, founder of Ella’s Project, to launch the appeal this year.
Thanks to Mark’s partnership with Lord Collectables, we will be able to accept monetary donations again this year.
Visit https://www.lordcollectables.com/catalogsearch/result/?cat=&g=toy+appeal to donate £1, £5 or £10 and Lords will buy the toys at trade price to donate to the appeal.
We’ll be delighted if you decide to support the appeal but ask you please not to gift wrap your present – they need to be assessed to ensure children receive suitable toys.
We respectfully ask that the gifts are in new or ‘as new’ condition and we are unable to accept cuddly toys, make-up, toiletries or food and perishable items due to health and safety.
Give A Gift helps ensure less fortunate children aged between three and 14-years-old have a gift to open on Christmas Day.
All presents will go to South Holland and Boston Child Services to distribute in time for Christmas.
Collection points this year are: Sainsbury’s, Holland Market, Spalding, Nat West, Market Place, Spalding, Spalding Travel, Calthrops Solicitors, Hall Place, Spalding, Courtyard Footcare, Health and Beauty, 66 Swan Street, Spalding, Frydays Fish and Chip Shop, Crowland, The Noshery, Springfields Garden Centre, Spalding, and Baytree at Weston (Santa’s Grotto booking office).
The appeal closes on Wednesday, December 13, to allow the gifts to be collected, wrapped and delivered to Child Services for distribution in time for Christmas Day.
