Air ambulance attends medical emergency at Spalding firm

The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance was called to Bakkavor’s West Marsh Road, Spalding site after an employee fell ill.

The incident happened on Thursday, November 9 with the helicopter spotted landing nearby.
The employee was taken to hospital by a land ambulance and a spokesman for Bakkavor said they had since recovered.
“The air ambulance came to site to tend to a colleague who was feeling unwell,” the spokesman said.
“After treatment, the air ambulance was not required, however, the colleague was taken to hospital via road ambulance.
“We are pleased that our colleague recovered quickly and we’d like to thank everyone for their quick response and support.”
A spokesman for the air ambulance said: ” Our crew were in attendance, responding to a medical emergency.
“Our doctor-paramedic team provided specialist interventions at the scene.”
