Tydd’s long wait for a win is over

It took a while but Tydd can finally celebrate a win in the GCE Hire Fleet Peterborough League. They ended a run of 16 games without a win, spread across two seasons, with a 2-0 success against Sawtry. Jack Minchella put them ahead and Carlos Costa secured the points with four minutes to go.
Further up the Premier Division table, Nathan Smith struck twice to keep Moulton Harrox in touch with the leaders, by beating Wittering Premiair 2-1.
Crowland Town are also in the hunt after a 3-0 victory at Ramsey Town, where Jordan Kirchin, Archie Rickards and Stephen Wells hit the net.
Boston Cash got Holbeach United Reserves’ goal in their odd-goal-in-three defeat at home to Stanground Sports.
Ten goals were evenly shared in the Division One clash at Farcet United, where Keegan Thorpe (2), Marley Hamilton, Jamual Nyang and James Ward were on target for Long Sutton Athletic.
There was one more goal in the Division Two clash between Crowland Reserves and Deeping United Reserves, with the visitors prevailing 6-5. Jamie Hunns (2), Adam Samworth, Jack Yeardley and an opponent netted for Crowland.
Adam Richardson, Jordan Rumble and Jordan Woods scored for Whaplode Drove Rovers in their 3-1 win at Stamford Lions.
Sutton Bridge United’s goals came from Mark Garner and Matt Wayman in a 4-2 defeat at Whittlesey.
