Athletic gain a spark

Goals have been flowing for Long Sutton Athletic u14s in the Peterborough & District Junior Alliance.

The team have sparked into life and have been celebrating a sponsorship deal with new match warm-up tops supplied by RS Electrical Engineering, of Holbeach.
Team coach Ian Billinghurst said: “The team are competing at the highest level they have played at after two promotions in two seasons.”
They are in Division Three of the U14 section and started with a 6-0 defeat at Whittlesey Blues.
However, they bounced back in style with an 8-4 victory over Boston United Blues and a 5-1 win against March Town Athletic Reds.
All the goals have come from their twin strike force of Riley Cole, with seven, and Findlay Li Stamp, with six.
