Plenty of love for new courts

A host of people had an ace time as the recently renovated new tennis courts at Ayscgouhfee Hall were opened on Saturday (September 23).

Leading wheelchair tennis player Abbie Breakwell was on hard to help open the courts and pass on some coaching tips.
It follows a £120,000 renovation, with £100,000 coming from the UK Government and LTA Tennis Foundation, supported by a £20,000 investment by operator South Holland District Council.
It was opened by MP Sir John Hayes who played against constituents and Abbie.
“I was really pleased to see the new courts and it’s great the LTA have helped provide this facility in Spalding.”
Ward councillors Mark Le Sage and David Ashby also attend.
Mark said: “It was lovely to see so many young people out on the courts which before the work was carried out were in poor shape. Abbie was inspiring and a wonderful advocate for the sport. We both hope she will be returning to Spalding soon.”
