Lecture season returns

The Spalding Gentlemen’s Society’s latest lecture season kicks off tomorrow (Friday September 29).

Dr Carenza Lewis was scheduled to be the first lecturer, but she’s had to postpone due to unforeseen circumstances.

Instead society president Tom Grimes will step in with a lecture entitled “The City of London: History, Pageantry and 20 per cent of the British Economy”.
Spalding Gentlemen’s Society lectures are held at Broad Street Methodist Church, Spalding and start at 7.30pm with an admission charge of £5 each at the door.
All are welcome.
Unfortunately the planned Founder’s Day Symposium ‘Archaeology and Landscape’ scheduled for Saturday (September 30) has had to be cancelled due to the planned rail strikes
Anyone who has booked a ticket online should have received an email with details of how to reserve a spot for the rescheduled symposium or to request a refund.
Tickets which have been purchased in person at the museum can either be retained for a guaranteed spot at the rescheduled event, or a full refund can be obtained at the Museum or by emailing [email protected].
A spokesman for the SGS said: We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment this cancellation may cause.”
