Walk for suicide awareness day

The Community Mind Matters team held a Suicide Awareness walk in Spalding at the weekend.
The event marked the World Suicide Prevention Day which was established in 2003 in conjunction with the World Health Organisation.
“Sadly my family are only too aware of the devastating effects after a family member takes their own life,” said South Holland District Council member Mark Le Sage, who also joined Community Mind Matters, set up by Vanessa Browning, as an ambassador for mental health.
His father took his own life in 1999.
