Abandoned pups have new homes

Four abandoned Border Collie puppies have found new homes after being featured in the Voice.

Back in November we ran a piece about the pups which were less than half the weight they should have been after being neglected by their owner.

They were taken in by Central German Shepherd Rescue (CGSR) and have all now gone to loving new homes – two in Spalding, one in Lincoln and one in Luton.

Bev Chamberlain of CGSR said: “Two of the pups got new homes thanks to appearing in the Voice, while the other two were spotted on our website.”

CGSR usually only takes in German Shepherds or German Shepherd cross breeds but Bev said they couldn’t sit back and do nothing.

The rescue currently has a number of German Shepherds looking for new homes. If you think you could help visit www.cgsr.co.uk

CGSR is holding a fundraising event at the Castle Sports Complex, Spalding, on Saturday, March 7.

Entertainment will be provided by 50s and 60s covers band The Rockits, who are the resident band at the Cavern Club in Liverpool.

Tickets (£10) are available from 01775 761313.
