Car tyres slashed in Spalding

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car’s tyres were slashed in Spalding.

The damage was caused to a Mercedes in Banks Avenue, possibly on New Year’s Eve.

It is the latest in a series of similar incidents that have been reported in the Chestnut Avenue, Willow Walk and Albert Street areas, with at least five vehicles having tyres damaged over the Christmas period.

Many people use their vehicles less over the holidays so there may be other cars damaged and the owners not aware. Residents in Spalding are being asked to check their vehicles and report any damage.

Anyone with information should contact Lincolnshire Police by dialling 101 and quoting the incident number. Report crimes anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
