Chatters matters for health

An event is continuing to boost mental health in Spalding thanks to Community Chatters.

The regular events put on by the Community Mind Matters group, see talks from people about their experiences of mental health and encourages others to do the same.
Sessions are held at the Castle Sports Complex every six weeks with Coun Mark Le Sage and Joel Wiseman speaking about their experiences.
Joel runs the AHOYY135 men’s group on Tuesdays at Cowbit Village Hall from 7pm to 9pm.
Community Mind Matters was set up by Vanessa Browning to promote better mental health in the town.
“We wanted to do something different with Community Chatters and it’s been a real success,” she said, “The idea was to get different people talking about their mental health and hopefully it inspires others to talk as well because it’s so important.
“Both the speakers at the most recent event were inspirational and it was well attended.”
