Company gets mauve-ing

A local firm has been raising money and awareness of epilepsy.

Steadfast Training last week got involved with the Epilepsy Society’s worldwide Purple Day (March 26) by wearing the colour to work.

It was created in 2008 by Cassidy Megan, a young girl from Canada, who has epilepsy and wanted to get people talking about the condition.

She decided to use the colour purple because lavender is recognised as the international flower of epilepsy.

Robert Wright, head of business development, said: “It was a great opportunity to show our support and raise awareness.

“Everyone at Steadfast Training was delighted to support such a fantastic cause.

“I am proud Steadfast Training are raising awareness of the impact epilepsy can have on people’s lives.”
