Whitewash win keeps Bourne at top of table

Bourne SC A are holding on to their place at the top of Division One of the Spalding and District Snooker League.

They thrashed Consti E 6-0 on Thursday night to stay in first place.
Second-placed Boundary A beat Services C 5-1, leaving them four points behind.
The other two Bourne SC teams dropped down the standings as they both lost 4-2 to teams from Bourne Pyramid.
Bourne SC B have gone from third place to seventh, after losing at home to Pyramid C, who are now fifth.
Nick Cunnington (014) and Elliot Gaunt (028) got Bourne SC off to a good start, beating Dave Pearson (O7) and Spencer Dawkins (O56) respectively, before Richard Skellett (O14), Jason Green (O56) and Alfonso Palumbo (O49) took the final three frames and the match.
Green and Palumbo both claimed 40 breaks on their way to victory.
Bourne SC C lost to bottom-of-the-league Pyramid D, seeing them drop from fourth to eighth in the standings.
Josh Agger (O7), James Sharpe (O42) and Dennis Pearson (scr) got the points for Pyramid, while Chris Page (O7) and Martin Ulyatt (O7) got the consolation frames for Bourne SC.
Services A now sit in third place, thanks to a 4-2 home win over Sutton Bridge.
Vince Fitter (O35), Kev Emerson (R14) and Phil Spencer (O7) were the winners for Services.
Pyramid A remain second from bottom after losing 5-1 to Donington C.
John Twell got the lone point for Pyramid, beating Neil Favell on the black.
Lee Hempsall (O14), Mick Pearl (O21), Matt Turner (O21) and Ben Wrigglesworth (O28) got the wins for Donington.
Holbeach C came out on top in their clash with clubmates Holbeach D.
Despite Wayne Dent (O49) hitting a 46 break and taking the first frame for the D team, the C team walked away 5-1 winners thanks to Terry West (R7), Mark Gregory (O42), Nick Edwards (R7) and Paul Ashton (R14).
Division Two leaders Consti G are seven points ahead of second-placed Holbeach E, but Holbeach, who had a free week, have two games in hand.
Consti lost 4-2 to Services B on Thursday, giving Holbeach a chance to close the gap if they win their outstanding games.
Paul Doades (scr), Tim Nash (O21) and Jason Rose (O21) were victorious to give Services the match.
Martin Deacon (O7) and Darren Woodberry (O42) hit back for Consti but they could not do enough to secure the win.
Consti H leapfrogged Consti B in the standings after beating them 5-1.
Winners were Mark German (O28), Olly Turner (O14), Seb Grimston (O21) and Adam Mayman (O14), while Martin Fear (O7) got the only point for the B team.
Turner knocked in a 46 break on his way to a win over Mick Johnson (O28).
The H team now sit in third, while the B team drop to fifth.
Donington A moved up a place to fourth after a 5-1 victory over Services D.
Jean Thompson (R28), John George (scr) and Kevin Hawes (O7) took the first three frames for Donington, before Services’ Courtney Boulding (R14) hit back with a convincing 89-16 win over Tony Scully (O42). Jim Thompson (scr) claimed the final frame against Carl Rands (O14) to round off the win.
Down in Division Three, Whittlesey C lost only their second match of the season, falling 4-2 to Consti A.
They are now in second place, with Gosberton D securing a 4-2 win to put them at the top of the table.
Donington B remain in third, despite losing 4-2 to Gosberton B.
Merv Patterson (R28), Warren Driver (R21) and Stuart Ruskin (R7) were the winners for Gosberton.
Consti J jumped three places to fourth thanks to a 4-2 win over clubmates Consti D, while bottom-placed Gosberton C walked away 4-2 winners at Whittlesey A.
