Euro going to love Act II’s show

Eurovision is coming to the UK later this year but you don’t have to wait that long nor travel to Liverpool for a taste of continental cheesy pop fest.

Instead Spalding’s Act II are bringing Eurobeat (The Pride of Europe) to the South Holland Centre tomorrow (Thursday, February 16) and Friday.

Members of its Advanced Skills Group are representing 10 countries and competing against each other in a fantastic celebration of the continent’s pride of pop.

The British entry.

And at the end of the night, the audience votes for its favourite and the chance to be crowned the kings and queen of Europe.

The bid for your votes has already started on Act II’s Facebook group where everyday the competitors are being introduced.

A spokesman for Act II: “Like many others, Act II Theatre Company are excited about the Eurovision Song Contest coming to the UK this year.

“As part of the celebrations, their Advanced Skills Group (London Road, The Madness Of George III) will be staging a hilarious parody of the annual European cheesefest!

Lithuania

“Eurobeat: The Pride Of Europe will take to the stage at the South Holland Centre for two nights only.

“Audiences will be transported to the contest, hosted by Liechtenstein and watch live entries by ten European countries (including Vatican City) before getting the chance to vote live for their winner!

“The evening will be in the hands of Liechtenstein’s premier (and possibly only) cabaret artiste: Marlene Cabana!

“This is a treat for Eurovision lovers and loathers alike!

Tickets are £12 or £10 for concessions and can be bought at www.southhollandcentre.co.uk/whats-on/view/eurobeat-the-pride-of-europe
