  • V NEWSVandals have targeted gas and electricity boxes in Spalding.
    Police are unsure of when the damage to the boxes in Monks Walk actually happened.
    Police were told about the vandalism on April 8 but it could have happened any time between March 15 and the date it was reported.
  • Thieves hit business premises in Cradge Bank, Spalding, and stole diesel.
    The theft happened overnight on April 8 when the metal fencing was prised open using wood taken from a nearby yard.Anyone with information should call 101.
  • Farmers are being urged to do everything they can to stop illegal raves taking place in their buildings.
    PCSO Ben Harrington, of the Suttons Community Beat Team, has been giving advice to farmers which includes installing passive infrared beams that detect heat from warm bodies.
    He also suggests putting in ‘internal sounders’ and erecting barriers across the farm tracks and entrances to buildings.
    Anyone who sees convoys of vehicles heading towards buildings or hears loud music coming from farm buildings should contact the police on 101.
  • A ‘for sale’ sign was torn from a garden and used to smash a window in Spalding.
    The incident happened at 2am on Friday in Holland Road.
  • Fifteen members of Bakkavor staff have been given a helping hand after falling victim to the Boston floods in December.
    Staff at Bakkavor Pizza and Freshcook sites in Holbeach St Marks were asked to donate any unwanted household goods to colleagues who were among 700 households that were flooded.
    All 15 received £200 worth of food vouchers.
  • Crowland ACF cadet Luke Thomson received the Best Effort Trophy at the Lincolnshire Army Cadet Force’s Easter camp.
    Luke received the honour at the end of the four-day camp in Beckingham.
    He was one of seven cadets from the Crowland detachment to attend the camp, along with 500 others.
