The message was ‘business as usual’ as Roythornes Solicitors marked the retirement from its partnership of two leading lights of the legal world.

Around 250 guests attended an event at Stoke Rochford Hall to mark the retirement of partners Phil Brewster and Graham Smith, who between them have given over 83 years’ service to the firm’s agricultural business and land owning clients.

Their contribution was celebrated by other members of Roythornes agricultural and property teams, who have been working with Graham and Phil over the last few years to ensure continuity of service to the firm’s clients.

Speaking about the event, senior partner Paul Osborne said: “It was a fitting way to mark their retirement with an occasion that included both clients and staff.
“It also provided an ideal opportunity for clients to meet the new generation of Roythornes, and for us to demonstrate our commitment to the future growth of the firm.”

Elizabeth Young, head of Roythornes’ private client team, added: “Graham and Phil have been inspirational teachers to many at Roythornes with the result that we have the knowledge and experience to meet the demands of a national base of clients.
“I feel privileged to work with them and see the high regard in which they are held.”

Graham and Phil will continue working for the firm as consultants.
