Two whitewash wins in snooker division three

The highlights in this week’s Spalding and District Snooker League came in Division Three with two 6-0 wins and a 40 break.

Donington B and Boundary B are up to fifth and six respectively after whitewash victories over Gosberton C and Whittlesey A.
Winners on the night for Donington were Jim Thompson twice (R7), Peter Burrell (scr), Phil Burrell (R7), and Paul Stewart (R7).
Boundary saw victories from Dougie Lythgoe (021), Mick Walker (035), Adam Blades (R7), Michael Harrison (scr) and Wayne Cunnington (R21).
Brad Brinkman (014) knocked in a 40 break during Gosberton D’s win against Consti A.
At the bottom of the table Consti D got their first win of the season with a 4-2 success over Whittlesey B.
Martin Perkins (021), Ray Digby (R21) and John Cooper (R7) got the wins for Consti.
Consti E sit at the summit of Division One following a 4-2 win at Bourne Snooker Centre B. A respotted black win for Jake Pettitt (scr) helped Consti on their way.
A derby match between Bourne Snooker Centre’s C and A teams ended in a 2-2 stalemate after one of the players was called away due to a family emergency. The result of that match will be decided on a later date.
Further down the table Pyramid D took on friendly foes Pyramid C.
The D team lost the match 4-2, leaving them second from bottom with just one win so far this season.
Services A leapfrogged up to fifth with a 5-1 victory over Donington C.
Breaks on the night came from Vince Fitter (028) with two 24s, and Neil Reynolds (049) who bagged a 27 and a 25.
Holbeach C’s fifth man Mark Gregory (035) clinched a 4-2 win over Boundary A with a 86-71 success over Steve Smith (R14). A 25 break helped Gregory on his way.
Holbeach A went down 4-2 at home to Pyramid A.
Consti G are leading Division Two after a 4-2 win over Holbeach B.
Ady Sibley (028), Darren Woodberry (042) and Mark Woodberry (049) were winners on the night.
A 37 break from Reegan Cooke-Holmes (07) and a 25 clearance from Lester Gaunt helped Pyramid B on the way to a 4-2 win over Gosberton A.
Consti I are holding up the rest of the division, yet to chalk up a win.
They went down 5-1 at home to Services E, with Justyn Stanley their only winner on the night.

Division Three: Consti A 2 Gosberton D 4; Consti D 4 Whittlesey B 2; Whittlesey A 0 Boundary B 6; Gosberton C 0 Donington B 6.
qGosberton are top of the billiards league with two wins from two matches so far.
They beat Donington 5-2 with victories from Shane White (O50), who racked of breaks of 34, 29, 27, 26 and 20 and Marcus Pell (O30), with a 20 unfinished break.
The winner for Donington was Tony Scully (R40) who pipped Des Forbes 200-199.
Joint second placed Consti B went down 5-2 to Pyramid A.
John Clapton (R90) beat Jason Rose (R20) 200-176, Lester Gaunt (scr) had an emphatic victory over Mick Johnson (O160) 200-0, while Keiran Richards-Witham (R50) was Consti’s only winner beating John Twell (R60) 200-178.
Breaks came from Johnson (33), Gaunt (30, 28), Rose (23) and Richards-Witham (25, 21).
Joint second placed Consti A had a 5-2 win away at Pyramid B.
Wins came from Alan Hansard (R80) and John Bellerby (R80) for Consti and Darrell Read (R40) for Pyramid.
Results: Pyramid B 2 Consti A 5; Consti B 2 Pyramid A 5; Gosberton 5 Donington 2.
