Woman’s body found in Coronation Channel

The body of a woman has been pulled from the Coronation Channel in Spalding.

Lincolnshire Police were called to the waterway near to St Paul’s Church after the body was discovered at 3.42pm yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.

They say the death is currently “unexplained”.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “We were called at 3.42pm yesterday (Sunday) to the Coronation Channel, next to St Paul’s Church, where the body of a woman was recovered from the water.

“At this stage the death is unexplained and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the woman.

“If you have any information to help our investigation, please call 101 with incident reference number 249 of 31 July.”
