Car show rolls back into town

The Holbeach Classic and Modified Car show is revving up to return this weekend.

On Sunday, July 24 around 200 vehicles are set to be rolling into the Holbeach Primary Academy for the show which is being held from 11am to 4pm.

It follows on from last year’s first successful running of the event.

Holbeach Parish Council vice chair Sophie Hutchinson, said: “This year’s show promises to be even bigger, with approximately 200 cars and bikes already registered to attend and lots of entertainment for everyone throughout the day, with free entry.”

Among the attractions will be Royals Gym’s car themed strongman competition and there will be live music by Just 4 kicks and Doc Watson Express.

There will also be a variety of food and trade stands and bouncy castles and face painting for the kids.

Trophies will be awarded to best classic car, best modified car, best bike and best in show and there’s set to be a raffle for the chance to win prizes including a track day.

Visitor parking will be on UAH field with direct pedestrian access to Holbeach primary Academy and anyone whohas not been able to register to attend with their vehicle are welcome to park it there.

Coun Hutchinson said: “We would like to thank Holbeach Primary Academy for their support in organising the event along with the local businesses that are taking part.”
