Moulton Chapel’s got plenty of talent, and it’s set to showcase it this Friday night (July 1).
The village is hosting Moulton Chapel’s Got Talent as part of the celebrations over the 300th anniversary of St James’s Church.
The call went out several months ago for villagers with talents to get in touch with the show, and organisers have been stunned with the amount of people who responded.
And as well as the performance at the village’s community centre that starts at 7pm on Friday, there will also be an art exhibition by Moulton Chapel Art Group and poems on display written by Year Five pupils at the village’s primary school.
Organiser Jeff Woods said: “What an array of local talent will be on offer.
“The response to the call for people to take part in the fun has been superb.
“This is a major part of the 300th anniversary celebrations of St James’s Church and the aim is to encourage village community spirit and enjoyment.
“We’re going to have a wonderful evening full of talented locals of all ages.
There will be all sorts of music, comedy and even football will be on show in the Community Centre.
“There’ll be no judging; it’s all just for fun.
“We have brilliant people taking part but we also need lots of those who have a talent for clapping and cheering to come along.
“There’s a licensed bar and refreshments and admission is free.
“There’ll be Moulton Chapel Primary School students, Members of the Moulton and Whaplode Scouts, Moulton Chapel FC players plus two local choirs, music groups, instrumentalists, vocalists and comedians from all around our area.
“Come and have a great night.”
The show starts at 7pm in Moulton Chapel Community Centre. For further info contact Jeff on 07981 910154.
